English:

I had made reference to this label in the previous review. ‘Transubstans Records’ releases music that contains influences from the ‘70s. You can find some nice albums here and there and Burning Saviours’ ‘Nymphs and Weavers’ is a good example of that.

This CD sounds like a spin-off of Jane, starting from the very first note and continuing throughout. It might have something to do with the poor English pronunciation of the singer, but this CD reminds me a lot of Eloy and Jane. Some of the songs sound a bit like Tempest (another Swedish band), thanks to that Folk Hard Rock influence. But those aren’t the only sources of influence. Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep and Jethro Tull are some other sources of comparison, but then I’d say that this list is exaggerated. In general, the album has more Krautrock influences. I find it strange if the producers have not yet noticed this…

‘Nymphs & Weavers’ is definitely worth a listen. Those typical ‘70s sounding guitar and keyboards carry you away and back in time. As far as compositions go, there’s still a lot of work to be done before reaching their milestone. But for now, this is not a bad attempt…

Nederlands:
