The fans and lovers of Whitesnake had better pay attention. This band was founded by the American Guitarist Alan Cotton. They sound a lot like Whitesnake in their early years, especially the vocals of Dutchman Robert Soerterboek. You probably know the super tall Soeterboek from his vocal contribution with Ayreon and Star One. The album can be described as classic Rock with lots of important Blues Rock influences. This is very comparable to the style of Whitesnake in their early days. Since David Coverdale really couldn’t grasp it back, Robert Soeterboek sounds even better than the original. On the album, the keyboards (and especially the sound of the Hammond organ) are heavily mixed in the foreground. Joost Van Den Broek, as musical guest, makes a worthy contribution to the driving sound of the album. This is also comparable to the glorious past…
However, not everything is as strong. There are moments when the songs sound a bit weak. Even the guitar solos are a bit too limited for such a talent. There are too many Country influences in some of the songs.
All in all, the album is really fun to listen to because it awakens some nostalgic feelings. But I would have liked a few heavier guitar solos and some more solid songs!

De fans en liefhebbers van Whitesnake moeten even opletten. Deze band opgericht door de Amerikaanse gitarist Alan Cotton klinkt, niet in het minst door het stemgeluid van Nederlander Robert Soeterboek, zeer sterk als Whitesnake in een ver verleden. De boomlange Nederlander Robert Soeterboek is jullie waarschijnlijk wel bekend door zijn vocale bijdragen bij Ayreon en Star One. Het album situeert zich dan ook in de classic rock met heel belangrijke bluesrock invloeden. Erg vergelijkbaar met de stijl die Whitesnake in de beginjaren hanteerde. Destijds kon echter David Coverdale nog echt uithalen, maar nu klinkt deze Robert Soeterboek beter dan het huidig origineel. Op het album zijn de toetsen, voornamelijk de sound van een hammond orgel, erg naar de voorgrond gemixt. De bijdrage van gastmuzikant Joost Van Den Broek is terecht naar waarde geschat, want het draagt bij tot het stuwende geluid van het album. Tevens ook vergelijkbaar met het roemrijke verleden…
Nochtans is niet alles even sterk. De songs komen bij momenten iets te zwak over, tevens zijn de gitaarsolo’s te beperkt om over een talent te kunnen spreken. In sommige songs zitten teveel countryinvloeden.
Al bij al is het album in zijn geheel erg leuk om te beluisteren omdat het een nostalgisch gevoel oproept. Toch had ik liever enkele steviger gitaarsolo’s en wat meer sterke songs gehad!
